Tiles Review

Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles. Tiles is a simple yet challenging puzzle game that will make you use some strategy to accomplish the goal of clearing out the "tiles" and making your way to the end.

Gameplay and Duration

Tiles gameplay is simple. You start at the green tile and you need to work your way to the red tile. In the process you need to clear out all of the blue tiles. There are other colored tiles that will stand in your way and they have a few functions. Such as the purple tiles remain solid no matter how many times you go across them, while the yellow tiles will disappear entirely after a set time, and lastly the orange tiles are timed to disappear and reappear after so many seconds. Each level in the game presents a different challenge to add some variation to the gameplay to not only make you think about the best path to take to the exit, but to do it as quickly as possible. Also to note, the game features local co-op where you can play with someone to race to complete the levels.

Tiles feature 90 built in levels for you to clear. But there is also a level builder where you can either build your own levels or play levels created by the community of various difficulties. All in all, the level builder presents endless combination of levels to play through.

Achievements 

  

There are a total of 19 achievements currently in the game. You get achievements in this game mostly for completing a certain amount of levels, building levels, or completing user created levels.

Conclusion

Tiles is a fun and simple game to sit back and relax and simply play. The premise of the game is very simple and has the potential to keep you entertained for hours on end. The low buy price for the game makes this a no brainer to pickup and give a try.
